The Parochial Church Council
The P.C.C. is the administrative body in the parish and the laity has a voice, jointly with the vicar, in many of
the affairs of the parish. The PCC is charged to assist the priest in promoting in the parish the whole
mission of the Church. The PCC supervises the financial affairs of the church and the keeping of accounts,
and is responsible for the care, maintenance, preservation and insurance of the church. We seek to use the
interests and skills of PCC members in particular areas of church life, and to involve other members of the
congregation in the work of the church.
Ministry with Children
Children are a very important part of our church and as such parents with infants and children are welcome.
We have a duty to bring up our children in the Christian faith and encourage them to worship. As a parish
we encourage all the adults present to show our children how to behave appropriately during worship, by
their own example and prayerful devotion. While children will, from time to time, make a noise, with help
and encouragement they can learn to participate fully in the worship of the church. We have a small
collection of soft toys available in church.

Crèche
A crèche is held at the church on Sunday for those children whose parents are participating in the Mass -
for toddlers to children up to the age of seven. All the children return to their families at the Offertory.
Young Christians
A group for children aged seven and over who attend church on Sundays. Like the crèche this group meets
in church during the Parish Mass with the children returning to join their parents at the Offertory.

Foundations of Faith and Other Study Groups
“Foundations of Faith” is our major on-going Christian Teaching Course for all ages. Other Courses are
held periodically to supplement this. Details are given in the Service Sheet and Parish Magazine.

The Rosary Group
The Rosary Group meets in church on Saturdays at 3.30pm to pray the ancient devotion of The Rosary.
Those who have not previously prayed The Rosary are especially welcome.
The Prayer Group
The Prayer Group
All Church members are welcome. The group usually meets at 14 Essenden Court, Galley Hill, Stony
Stratford on alternate Wednesdays from 7.30 pm - 8.30 pm. See the Service Sheet for dates and times.
